What is a program mentor?
A program mentor is an experienced individual who will walk alongside and meet regularly with the grant recipient to aid in preparation and operations upon opening the business. The purpose of the mentor requirement is to make sure things are being addressed by the new business owner, help review financials, as well as be a guide. Mentors are there to help be an advocate in the process.
