For over 60 years, Kirby Hospital has offered affordable, quality health care to the residents of Piatt County and the surrounding area.  The smallest hospital in Illinois, Kirby Hospital manages the ambulance service, as well as offer convenient care and emergency services around the clock.

Because of the rise in outpatient care, Kirby Hospital announced in 2008 that they would begin an extensive relocation project, involving construction of a new facility.  This expansion would allow for Kirby to increase the level of services and care, better serving the Monticello and Piatt County communities.

The hospital has 16 beds and 6 active medical staff on campus including family practice and internal medicine specialties.  With over 170 full and part time employees, Kirby Hospital offers a number of services found in metro area hospitals including cardiac rehab, diagnostic imaging, sleep apnea center, and physical therapy.

Telemedicine and teleradiography are used by Kirby physicians to communicate in the live setting via voice and vision with physicians at larger medical centers about a patient's condition.

Kirby Hospital is part of an impressive healthcare network alliance that includes Carle Foundation, Provena Covenant, St. Mary's, and Decatur Memorial hospitals.
