The Monticello Recreation Dept. would like to thank all of the individuals and organizations who donate to us throughout the year. These donations allow for us to keep our program cost at a minimum and offer program scholarships to those who are less fortunate.
2011 Donations:
Monticello Recreation League Volunteer Coach Todd Macak and several other local volunteers held a baseball tournament for 9-10 yr. old Boys. They raised $1,800 to go towards the new sports complex. On behalf of the Monticello Mayor, City Council, & City Staff we would like to thank all the coaches and volunteers for this generous donation.
State Farm Companies Good Neighbor Grant Program awarded us with a $500 check on 2/25/11 in the name of employee and Monticello resident Brian Becker for his times as a volunteer Junior Football League Coach. This money will be used to purchase equipment for the JFL program. On behalf of the Monticello Mayor, City Council, & City Staff we would like to thank both State Farm and Brian Becker for this generous donation. This is the fourth year in a row we have received this donation from State Farm in Brian Beckers name.
2010 Donations:
The Monticello Kiwanis Club donated $5,000 to the Monticello Recreation Dept. on 8/28/10. This money will be used toward the development of new ball fields at the new Monticello Sports Complex. This money was raised by the Monticello Kiwanis through summer pizza sales and their For the Kids Golf Outing. On behalf of the Monticello Mayor, City Council, & City Staff we would like to thank the local Kiwanis for this generous donation.
The Monticello Kiwanis Club donated $1,000 to the Monticello Recreation Dept. on 2/9/10. This money will be used to help cover the Recreation Dept. program fees for those individuals who qualify for financial assistance. On behalf of the Monticello Mayor, City Council, & City Staff we would like to thank the local Kiwanis for this generous donation.
