  • Designated City Street Routes.  (Marked with Bike Route Signage)
  • Trail Section 1 runs from Grant St. to Cemetery Rd. along the old inter-urban (1 mile long asphalted trail). The trail was asphalted in October of 2004.  No motorized vehicles or scooters are allowed on the trail.  Before and after photos are shown below.  In an effort to extend the life of the trail it was sealed in May of 2009.
  • NEW FALL 2009 The family and friends of Nick Reeves have built a Gazebo along trail section 1 in his memory.
  • Trail Section 2 runs from Railroad St. to County Farm Road along the old rail bed and across the sangamon river (0.6 mile long).   The trail is currently under development (Fall 2009 bridge decking & fence).  We eventually will have the trail asphalted and the river bridge crossing planked and fenced for safety.  No motorized vehicles or scooters are allowed on the trail.  The trail in its natural state currently allows walkers to get to the river bridge from either side but is not safe to cross.
